Flora Italica is a 100% Barbera varietal, produced in our highest vineyard facing north east, dominating the plains (great view up to Bologna city center). Accurate pruning and shoots selection. Hand picked half September in plastic crates, with grapes selection. Fermented with its own natural yeast, maceration with skins lasts 20 days After malolactic fermentation, wine has been aged in used in big 25 hl oak woods barrels for 8 to 12 months. Afterwards, it has been refined in bottles for many months.
Powerful and fruity, with style and elegance. Smooth, round and full. A high class wine, perfect for a great dinner or, why not?, an after dinner. The sweetness of small red fruit is well balanced by Barbera grape natural acidity
